Power Conditioning & Output

Power conditioning turns the direct converter's raw output into delivery-ready power for a grid tie or an islanded load.

The direct converter produces high-voltage output from the plasma stream. Power conditioning transforms this into the form the grid or the islanded load requires — correct voltage, frequency, and power quality — while providing the protection and control needed for firm delivery.

Conditioning chain

Firm and dispatchable

Aegis is designed for firm, resilient supply. The conditioning chain and controls let the plant hold output steady, respond to load changes, and ride through disturbances. In islanded mode it also sets frequency and voltage for its load rather than following an external grid.

Output rating

The conditioned output rating follows from the machine's conversion performance, computed at design stage from the frozen configuration. No net-power hardware operation is claimed before the first test burner (~2032). The conditioning and delivery systems are engineered and simulated against that design point.
