Control Room Operations

The hardened control room is where operators monitor plant state, direct sequences, and respond to alarms and events.

The control room is the operational center of Aegis. From it, operators monitor plant and plasma state, execute startup and shutdown sequences, respond to alarms, and coordinate field and maintenance activity. It is hardened for continuity so the plant can be safely managed through disturbances.

Operator awareness

Displays present machine state, subsystem status, and the health of protection and safety systems clearly, so operators maintain accurate situational awareness. Alarms are prioritized so a flood of minor indications never masks a critical one. The control layer gives operators authority for normal operation while safety functions act independently.

Hardening and continuity

The control building is hardened and served by backup power so operators retain command during upsets, loss of external supply, or security events — consistent with the resilient, sovereign mission. Control-room design and procedures are developed at design stage and exercised on the simulator and the first test burner.
