The Honest Promise

What Kronos actually promises is narrow and keepable: rigorous work, open data, stated limits — not a guaranteed clean-energy future.

A promise we can keep

Grand promises about fusion have a long history of not being kept, and each broken one erodes trust in the field. So we keep our promise narrow enough to honor. We do not promise cheap limitless power by a date. We promise rigorous design and simulation, open publication, honest gates, and predictions that can be checked.

This is deliberately less exciting than the usual pitch, and more durable. A narrow promise kept builds the credibility that a broad promise broken destroys. It is also the only kind of promise honest to make about machines that are still design and simulation studies with FOAK first tritium targeted around 2030.

The actual commitments

If fusion earns its place, these commitments are how it will have earned it — in public, checkably, without inflation. The promise is not a clean-energy future delivered; it is honest work done in the open toward one. See humanity's dream and humility in a grand mission.
