Resilient Sovereign Power

Domestic Supply and Sovereignty

Sovereign power depends on domestic supply of the machine, its fuel, and its critical materials, which the breeder helps provide.

Sovereignty is a supply-chain property

An installation's power is only as sovereign as its weakest supply dependency. Domestic supply of the generator, its fuel, and its critical materials — magnets, cryogenics, structural alloys — is what makes the sovereignty claim real rather than nominal.

The breeder's role in supply

The breeder (Hyperion) directly addresses the hardest domestic-supply problem: fuel. It breeds a ~4 kg/yr-class tritium stream and a ~1.97 kg/yr-class helium-3 stream domestically, under national control. It also produces 14 MeV neutrons useful for qualifying the very materials a burner needs. The breeder is thus a supply-side foundation for burner sovereignty.

Honest scale limits

Breeder-bred helium-3 is domestic and sovereign but limited in scale; it does not by itself meet a fleet's ~400× demand, which is why lunar helium-3 is part of the long-term supply picture. Domestic supply reduces foreign leverage and is a precondition for sovereignty; it does not, on its own, close the fuel-scale gate. Both statements are held together honestly.

The breeder as supply foundation

The breeder addresses the hardest domestic-supply problem — fuel — by producing helium-3 and tritium under national control and 14 MeV neutrons to qualify burner materials. Breeder-bred helium-3 is sovereign but limited in scale and does not by itself meet fleet demand, which is why lunar helium-3 is part of the long-term picture. Domestic supply reduces foreign leverage without, alone, closing the fuel-scale gate.
