Resilient Installation Power

Sovereign Energy Independence

Sovereign power means an installation's electricity does not depend on external supply chains an adversary could contest.

What sovereignty means here

Energy sovereignty is the ability to generate power from resources the installation controls, without a dependence that an adversary or a disaster could sever. For Aegis it has two parts: independence from the outside electrical grid (through islanding) and independence from the fuel-logistics tail (through on-site inventory bred domestically).

The domestic fuel loop

Deuterium comes from water. Helium-3 is bred on Earth by the Hyperion breeder rather than imported — tritium bred in the breeder decays into helium-3 on a fixed physical clock. The loop is domestic end to end, which is the deepest form of sovereignty: the fuel is not merely stockpiled but produced under national control.

The supply-scale caveat

Full sovereignty at fleet scale depends on a fuel that does not yet exist at terrestrial scale: one commercial unit's helium-3 demand is roughly 400× domestic supply today. Sovereignty is therefore a property that grows with the breeder foundry and, later, lunar helium-3 — stated as a trajectory, not a present guarantee.

The honest claim: the architecture is designed to be sovereign, and the supply chain that makes fleet-scale sovereignty real is being built alongside it. Sovereignty is therefore best read as a layered property — grid-independent today by control design, fuel-independent for years by inventory, and supply-sovereign at fleet scale only as the breeder and lunar pathways mature.
