The Errata and Corrections Policy

When the breeder record is found wrong, the correction is published as a new version with the change described; nothing is silently overwritten.

Being wrong in public, correctly

A validation record earns trust by how it handles its own errors. The breeder (Hyperion) policy is that a discovered mistake is corrected in the open: a new Zenodo version, a stated reason, and a description of what changed — exactly the path taken from v1 (10.5281/zenodo.21746157) to v2 (10.5281/zenodo.21795620).

How to report an error

What a correction records

Each correction states whether a headline number moved and by how much, which downstream claims are affected, and whether any open gate changed status. Old versions stay retrievable so a prior citation is never orphaned. This is the same discipline as the versioning and the contradictions register: corrections are visible, dated, and reversible in the historical record.

The policy also sets an expectation for how corrections are communicated: a moved headline number is stated as such, not buried, and anyone who relied on the prior value can see at a glance whether their use is affected. Handling error this way turns a correction from an embarrassment into evidence that the record is being actively checked, which is exactly the signal a serious reader looks for.

This page describes a design-and-simulation study, not a built machine. Construction of the breeder (Hyperion) begins Q2 2027; first-of-a-kind first tritium is targeted near 2030. No hardware net-gain claim is made before FOAK.
