The breeder is not trying to sell electricity. Its outputs — scarce tritium, a high neutron flux, medical isotopes and strategic helium-3 — are valuable in themselves, giving Kronos a business that does not wait on the field's hardest milestone.
Building the neutron-and-fuel machine first is what de-risks the whole programme.
