The manufacturing technology covers REBCO winding-pack fabrication and impregnation, sector welding and dimensional control of the vessel, PFC bonding, and remote-handling-compatible assembly. Kronos frames fabrication-grade drawings and material qualification as scheduled work on the path to build.

What is in the manufacturing and assembly stack?

Coil winding, large-forging fabrication, automated welding of vessel sectors, and the assembly sequence — much of it drawn from established heavy-industry and big-science practice.

Is manufacturing a bottleneck?

Long-lead items like sector forgings and magnets drive the schedule, which is why the breeder's build sequence and procurement start early, ahead of the Q2 2027 construction start.
