Hastelloy Substrate
A nickel alloy forming the strong substrate of REBCO superconducting tape.
REBCO tape is grown on a strong, corrosion-resistant nickel-alloy (Hastelloy-class) substrate that carries the mechanical load while the thin superconducting layer carries the current.
