Gyrofrequency

How fast a charged particle spirals around a field line; the basis of cyclotron heating.

The gyrofrequency is the rate at which a particle orbits a magnetic field line, proportional to field strength. Radio waves tuned to it resonantly heat the plasma — the principle of ion- and electron-cyclotron heating.
