The General Arrangement

How the machine, its plant systems and its building fit together — the top-level layout.

Engineering & SubsystemsUpdated 2026-08-11

The general arrangement places the reactor core within its balance of plant and building: heating and current-drive systems, cryoplant, power conversion, cooling, control room and, on the breeder, the tritium plant — all inside the shielded envelope. It is the drawing that turns a physics point into a facility.

Kronos's representative engineering drawings make this legible without claiming fabrication-grade precision.

Common questions

What is the general arrangement?

The overall layout of the machine and plant — how the core, heating, cryogenics, fuel cycle and balance of plant are positioned and connected — the top-level engineering picture.

Where can I see it?

The public 3D model and headline blueprint sheets show the arrangement; the full detailed CAD is kept in a private, access-controlled build.
