Dashboards and Operating KPIs

How the top-level operating dashboards are composed and which indicators define a good shot for the breeder and steady operation for the burner.

One dashboard, layered depth

The operating dashboard is the default control-room view: a compact set of key performance indicators (KPIs) with the machine's health readable in one glance and full depth one click away. Each KPI shows value, trend, confidence, and margin-to-limit. The design goal is that a healthy machine looks calm and a degrading one is visibly, monotonically less calm — no bistable green-until-red surprises.

Breeder (Hyperion) indicators

Burner (Aegis / MetroVolt) indicators

No dashboard carries economics — no cost, price, or financial KPI ever appears on an operating surface. KPIs are physical and operational only. This keeps the operator's attention on the machine and keeps the display honest about what it actually measures.

Composition rules

Tiles are sized by consequence, not by data availability, so the most decision-relevant indicators dominate. Color follows the shared grammar; a tile that loses its data source shows a staleness badge rather than a stale-but-plausible number. Drilling into any tile reveals the contributing diagnostics and the twin module behind it — provenance is always one click away. See availability and breeding KPIs and confidence and provenance display.
