Location: Remote / 20% Travel to Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA
Position Type: Full-Time (6-Month Temp-to-Hire)


Job Description


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of advanced simulations for plasma behavior, energy conversion, and system performance in fusion reactors.

  • Collaborate with physicists, engineers, and machine learning experts to integrate simulations into the design process.

  • Optimize simulation models for accuracy, performance, and scalability.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior simulation engineers.


Qualifications:

  • PhD in physics, engineering, or a related field; extensive experience may substitute for a degree.

  • 7+ years of experience in developing simulations for energy systems or related fields.

  • Proficiency in simulation software and programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing complex simulation projects.
