With a career spanning over 35 years across various high-consequence energy government and commercial programs, Martin has been involved in the development of pioneering Naval Reactors at BWXT. After completing his doctoral degree, Florian led experiments at the W7-X stellarator in Greifswald during the second island divertor campaign. As of spring 2022, Florian was promoted to PPPL Staff Physicist and continued his research at the DIII-D National Fusion Facility.
